Please welcome fellow Solstice Publishing author Rocky Rochford with his new release!

Greetings to one and all, my name is Rocky Rochford, writer, poet, scuba diver and sword collector, among other things. Today the ever so talented Mya O'Malley has allowed me the space to talk about myself and my works, so let's get to it:

Author Bio:
My name is Rocky Rochford and I am a Scuba Diving, Photo taking, Adventure Seeking, Sword Collecting, Writer & Marine Conservationist. I'm a handful of years into my twenties, but after living life on the road, going town to town before finally settling down, I've gained great insight into the world and her workings. From Day 1 I have been a Writer and a Writer I shall forever remain.
I like to consider myself to be a Student of Everything, and yet a Master of Nothing, who does not choose what he writes, but writes what chooses him, be it fantasy, crime, poetry, philosophy or even adventure. After all life is a journey we all get to experience, just like a good book.
Every read of one of my typed works, is another trip into the imagination of my mixed up, crazed and deranged mind. Welcome to the World of Rochford.

And just one of those works happens to be my newly releasing “The Devil You Know,” an 8 Chapter long ebook to introduce you to a conman who gets an offer he can't refuse, one that would see him return in the full length novel “The Devil You Don't.”

The Blurb reads a little like this:
Meet a conman who always carefully chooses his marks. Then one day he discovers that he’s been someone else’s mark, and not just for a little while, but his whole life. Think you know the Devil? You don’t know Jack.

And if that's got your taste-buds waging, allow me to hit you with an excerpt:

I'll never forget the day my life changed, never to be the same again, the day I met him. I knew it was him the second he walked into the bar. I didn't need to see those yellow eyes of his, or to notice the curve of his mouth as he smiled gladly upon the mere sight of me. Out of all the bars in the world and the Devil walked into mine.
Shit” was the word that came to mind.

The Devil You Know releases on Amazon and www.solsticepublishing.com on the 30th of January and joining it on that day is the second work I would like to take to you about, ladies and gentleman allow me to introduce you to Matthew Radley, protagonist of both the Entwined Saga and Dead on the Floor, an ebook that spent the last three days of 2014 as an International best seller on Amazon and come the 30th and 31st of January, it will be available for free download on every Amazon website.

                  Let's check out the Blurb:
The beginning of the End starts now. For some of us, Life can be cruel, dealing us a losing hand and for Matthew Radley, a young Wiccan practitioner that is exactly what he got. After a lifetime of chaos, pain and losing himself, he finally got everything he wanted, the woman he loved, the future he desired and a reason to live, but in a single moment he lost it all. Unable to take the pain and no longer desire to live, Matthew takes the one thing he has left, his own life. For Matthew, his story has to end, in order for it to begin, his story has no happy ending, for his is a life of Love, Magick, Corruption & Death and only asks for understanding.

Dead on the Floor actually serves as an introduction to a series of short stories, to which a general bio to them all, can be seen here:

The Entwined Saga Biog: This is the Life story of one Matthew Radley, a troubled soul at the end of his life. Unable to go on, he commits the act of suicide to end it all, but Death is just the Beginning of the End for Matthew. First you will watch him die and then you will understand why.

Life deals us different hands, for Matthew he was dealt the worst, from the age of 16 he has no choice but to watch his life spiral out of control. The Entwined Saga is a story of Life, Love, Corruption, Magick and Death.

Current Installments in the series:

*Dead on the Floor
*The First Glance
*I Watched Her Die
*Burning For You
*Save Her
*Salt in the Wound (Expected for release in February  -  Salt in the Wound is a direct continuation to Dead on the Floor and takes place after the events of it)

Extract: (From Burning For You)

“Have you ever seen something, something you really wished you hadn't? Something so bad that even the thought of it afterwards, is still more than enough to bring you to your knees? Something so bad that you close your eyes and pray as hard as you can to unsee it, but it never works? Yeah, me too, every day of my life.” – Matthew Radley, Deceased 2014

I'm excited to welcome Fellow Astraea Press author Catherine Bennett as my guest.

My Story…As a Writer

Title: “Devon’s Choice”

Author: Catherine Bennett

Back Cover Blurb:

Faith, love and a cup of coffee, can change everything.

Life holds no surprises for Devon Murphy. Her life consists of keeping tabs on her aging Irish father, working part time at a coffee shop, and building her online graphics design business. Devon’s only tricky situation is a shallow relationship with the pampered and affluent Michael Turner, who sees her as just another woman to conquer.

Following his father’s death, Brandon’s only goal is to expand the family business and live life on his own terms. That is, until he walks into the coffee shop one snowy evening and meets the enchanting, red-haired barista behind the counter. But can Devon and Brandon’s attraction for each other be strong enough to help erase their deepest disappointments and renew their faith in God?

Author Bio:
I grew up in Ohio where I currently live with my husband and our two rescue Labradors. Some of my favorite things include reading, shopping, pepperoni pizza, Hershey bars and hanging out with my two grown sons. I also love dogs; so going to the dog park is cheap entertainment for my husband and I!

Growing up an only child, I had many imaginary friends. I believe this - and a love of books - fueled my desire to write. It was many years later that my dream of becoming a published author came true.

My Romantic Suspense, “The Trouble With Charlie” is published by Astraea Press and available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords. Visit my website for buy links and excerpts.

My Inspiration for “Devon’s Choice”:

The beginning of the book came to me while I was walking my black Labrador, Riley. It was winter and, while Riley was plowing through the deep snowdrifts, I began to think about the suburb in Columbus, Ohio where I grew up. My old house, the streets where I rode my bike, and walked home from school evolved into the backdrop for Devon and Brandon's love story.

How I Became A Writer:

When I was young, I spent a lot of time in my local library. I enjoyed books and was always writing poems and short stories about make-believe places. When I got older, I knew I wanted to be a published author.

After I finished my first book, The Trouble With Charlie, finding publishers was easy (there are so many out there), but getting the manuscript accepted was more difficult than I imagined. I had no connections to anyone in the industry; I was like a tiny minnow swimming upstream. Crafting a query letter that didn’t end up in a publisher’s slush pile was my first challenge. After that, I queried many publishers, only to receive rejections. Finally, an author told me about Astraea Press and it was a perfect fit for my clean romance.

Now, with the release of Devon’s Choice (also published by Astraea), I feel doubly fortunate that I didn’t give up on my dream.
